I struggled with low back pain for over 12 years.

In 2008, I experienced my first significant injury and spent more than 12 years struggling with debilitating low back pain. I tried everything from PT, massage, chiropractic care, and acupuncture to stretching, strengthening, and mobility work, but nothing seemed to create lasting change. I gradually gave up activities I loved, from hiking and weightlifting to golfing, out of fear that my back would “go out” and avoided forward bending at all costs.

In 2020, my perspective began to shift. Through an osteopathic approach and later applied neurology, I discovered how exploring the body's interconnected systems (including our senses, especially visual and vestibular input, as well visceral structures) could change how I experienced pain and movement. Simple, targeted interventions helped me move with less pain, greater ease and confidence that I hadn't experienced in years.

Now, I want to share what I wish I'd known when my back pain first began: sometimes, the next step isn't doing more to your back, but exploring what your body might need elsewhere.

What if the next step in supporting your low back isn’t another stretch or more strengthening?

This Masterclass Is For You If:

  • You've tried traditional approaches to your back pain with minimal results

  • You’re curious about how other systems can influence your back pain

  • You want to work smarter, not harder

Imagine…

  • A simple drill replacing hours of hamstring stretching.

  • Being able to bend forward without fear of your back “going out.”

  • Not giving a second thought to squatting down to play with your kids.

  • Supporting nervous system “rest” on the go while stopped at a red light.

  • Shifting your perspective from “my back is broken” to “what is this pain trying to tell me?”

  • Understanding pain is protection, a cue to do something differently.

  • Remembering what trust and confidence feels like in your body.

During this 90 minute workshop you’ll:

  1. Discover how changing input away from the low back may influence how you move and feel.

  2. Explore 5 brain-based drills to support your body’s sensory systems.

  3. Understand how to assess your unique movement responses.

  4. Have time to ask any questions.

  5. Leave with the call replay and a workbook to help you continue experimenting with what works for your body.
