STEADY
A 4-Week Brain-Based Approach to Balance, Dizziness & Motion Confidence
Designed for curious women who want to feel more grounded and confident in their bodies, especially when balance, dizziness, motion sensitivity, or movement uncertainty has started getting in the way.
Begins October 9th
The moment everything shifted…
I'm Katie Schimizzi, a movement professional, who has spent nearly 20 years working in sports medicine and outpatient orthopedics.
For a long time, I thought the answer to movement problems was simply getting stronger, stretching more, or trying harder.
My own experience with persistent back pain and movement limitations changed the way I understood the body.
When I discovered applied neurology and osteopathic principles, I became fascinated by what happens when we stop looking at the body as a collection of individual parts and start looking at the nervous system, our senses and movement as an interconnected system.
That's the lens I bring to STEADY.
Not a promise to “fix” you. Because you don’t need “fixing.”
Not a one-size-fits-all exercise program.
A place to get curious about your body AND discover what's possible when you give your nervous system something different to work with.
If you want a better output…look to improving the input.
STEADY may be for you if you've been thinking:
“I don't feel as steady as I used to.”
“I know I'm capable of more, but I don't fully trust my body.”
“I get dizzy or disoriented more easily than I'd like.”
“Certain movements make me nervous.”
“I've started avoiding things because I'm afraid I'll feel off.”
“I want to exercise, but I don't know how to work around my symptoms.”
“I don't want to be told to just push through.”
“I want to understand what's happening in my body.”
“I want to feel confident moving again.”
You don't have to identify with every one.
If even one of these made you think, “Yep. That's me,” keep reading.
Imagine…
Getting out of bed and feeling more connected to your body.
Walking down the stairs without gripping the railing quite so tightly.
Turning your head while you're walking without immediately thinking, Whoa.
Standing on uneven ground and trusting your feet to do their job.
Moving through a busy grocery store without feeling overwhelmed by everything happening around you.
Returning to workouts without constantly wondering whether you're going to trigger something.
Playing with your kids without monitoring every movement.
Trying something new because “What if I can't?” has started becoming “Let's see.”
That's the kind of confidence we're building.
Not confidence because your body will never surprise you again.
Confidence because you've learned how to work with your body when it does.
MEET STEADY
A 4-week brain-based approach to balance, dizziness & movement confidence.
STEADY is designed to help you explore the sensory and movement systems that contribute to how you experience stability, coordination, and confidence.
Each week we'll work through four progressive pillars:
WEEK 1: GROUND
Create a foundation for regulation, orientation, and body awareness.
Build awareness of your current starting point and explore strategies that help you feel more connected, oriented, and ready for movement.
WEEK 2: ISOLATE
Explore individual sensory systems and movement inputs, including vision, vestibular information, proprioception, and interoception.
Learn how individual sensory inputs can influence your unique experience of movement and stability.
WEEK 3: INTEGRATE
Teach your brain to coordinate information from multiple systems together.
Start challenging your brain to combine information from different systems through coordination and movement drills.
WEEK 4: ADAPT
Gradually introduce more complexity, novelty, and real-life movement challenges so your new skills can become more automatic.
Assess → Explore → Practice → Reassess
You'll learn how to notice what changes, and use that information to guide your practice.
Then take those skills into more dynamic, unpredictable, and real-life movement situations.
The goal isn't to collect more exercises.
It's to learn how to use the right input for the right situation.
This isn't about fixing your body.
It's about building a better relationship with it.
You may have spent years trying to figure out:
What's wrong with me?
Why does this keep happening?
Why can everyone else do this so easily?
STEADY invites you to ask a different question:
“What can I teach my nervous system to do differently?”
Because your body isn't working against you.
It's constantly trying to protect and support you with the information it has.
And when you give your brain better information—and the opportunity to practice using it—you can create new possibilities for movement.
